Our aluminium roof lanterns are available with a choice of high-performance glazing options designed to balance natural light, solar control and thermal performance. Self-cleaning glass options can help reduce maintenance, while different solar-control specifications allow the glazing to be selected to suit the orientation and requirements of the room.
Solar Neutral self-cleaning glass provides a more neutral appearance while helping to manage solar gain and reduce external cleaning requirements. The double-glazed unit incorporates Low-E glass internally and has a centre-pane Ug-value of 1.2 W/m²K.
Solar Blue self-cleaning glass provides a subtle blue appearance while retaining the same high-performance specification as the standard Solar Neutral option. It incorporates Low-E glass internally, has a centre-pane Ug-value of 1.2 W/m²K and features a self-cleaning external surface to help reduce maintenance.
For projects requiring improved glazing performance, Eco Plus glass is available as an upgrade from the standard 1.2 Ug specification to 1.0 W/m²K glazing. This option is supplied on a slightly longer lead time than the standard stock glazing and should be specified when ordering.
Triple glazing is available as a bespoke option for aluminium roof lanterns where enhanced glazing performance is required. A range of solar-control, self-cleaning and Low-E glass specifications can be considered depending on the requirements of the project.
Please contact us before ordering if triple glazing is required so that we can confirm the available specification, suitability and applicable lead time.
